Models: Rubber powered cabin designs published prior to 1st January 1951, with wingspan less than 25” as measured with a tape measure from tip to tip. Scaling larger designs down to this size is not permitted. Undercarriage must be fitted as per plan, wheels close to the size on the plan. Props must be fixed two-bladers, max diameter 8 inches

Entry: After flying, please either email (webmaster@oxfordmfc.bmfa.uk) or WhatsApp Chris Brainwood, stating your name, the name of the timer, the model(s) and the times so that they will appear on this page

Awards: Apart from the obvious (and considerable) kudos for winning, each of the top three finishers will receive a valuable comestible such as a packet of Tunnocks Teacakes (the winners of some of the other events will be fobbed-off with lower-quality confectionary such as a Mars bar, but since this is a quality competition, we’re doing things properly).

Procedure: There will be two rounds, each which must be completed and the scores reported to Chris within a set time period (see below). Each round will consist of three flights to a 90 second max. An attempt is a flight of 15 seconds or less, only one attempt is allowed per flight. All three flights in a round must be made on the same day at the same venue. Ideally the timekeeper should be someone other than the entrant but for those who fly alone self timing is permitted. In the event that there is a tie, there will be a fly-off at Port Meadow, date TBC.
