Basic Slope Soaring

by Simon Burch

A demonstration of basic slope soaring techniques, using the Picasim RC simulator. It covers: launch; tracking parallel with the slope; figure-of-eights; the landing pattern; using ‘S’ turns on the approach; the go-around; and common approach pattern errors. It includes advice on how to set up Picasim for basic slope training. Please note that this represents my own opinion. It is by no means authoritative, and it assumes some knowledge of RC flying
