Cloud Tramp Mass Launch & Club Summer Competitions 2022

 

 

The event kicked off at 5pm with the 27th Charles Hampson Grant Memorial International Mass Cloud Tramp Launch.

The Cloud Tramp was designed by American Charles H Grant as a basic stick rubber model for beginners and first appeared Model Airplane News, August , 1954. They can be built very quickly and easily and are available as a free plan to download from OuterZone or even as a kit from the Vintage Model Company

In addition to the mass launch the club ran a duration competition for Cloud Tramps. Won with some very consistent flights by Alan Trinder

There was also a competition for P30/Coupe D’Hiver designs flown to a 90’s max. It was a combined duration event flown over 3 rounds

The Bill Dean Centenary fly-in saw a little less action but Bill Dennis’s KK Piper Super Cruiser put in some lovely flights powered by it’s ED Baby

Aside from the competitions there were a wide range of models flown for fun.
